Mr. Austin has thirty years of experience in industry with energy, automation, and utility optimization. He is currently the Managing Director of TenX Energy Corp., an independent energy and utility consulting company focusing on industrial end users and energy service providers. service.
Prior to founding the company, he was Manager Engineering for Schneider Electric where he directed implementation of the Industrial Energy Efficiency initiative in North America. Before that, he was Managing Partner of the Foresight Group, an energy engineering company concentrating on utility optimization project implementation.
Before that he was Principal Engineer for Glaxo Wellcome, a $40B international pharmaceutical manufacturing company where he conducted energy efficient design and project engineering for the corporation. He also worked for Carolina Power & Light, a Fortune 250 utility, preparing and conducting complex energy studies for industrial customers throughout the Southeast US.
Mr. Austin has a bachelor’s degree and a master of science in Mechanical Engineering from N.C. State University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states and is a member of ASHRAE. He is an author of several trade journal publications, a patent holder, and an instructor for national engineering short courses.
Mr. Ayers has thirty years of experience in industry, including analysis of manufacturing processes, equipment application, system integration, and performance modeling. He is currently Director of Technical Services at TenX Energy Corp.
Prior to joining TenX Energy, he was with Carrier Corporation, focusing on application of industrial and large commercial HVAC systems. Before Carrier, he consulted for 1st Source Research, advising chemical manufacturers on improving their product performance and manufacturing efficiency. Before that, he was a principal at MTI, a startup that developed innovative instrumentation solutions for chemical, agricultural, and pharmaceutical manufacturing clients.
Prior to MTI, Mr. Ayers worked with major semiconductor companies, including Broadcom and Hitachi, as an applications engineer, manager, and business development partner in embedded computers and network communications.
Mr. Ayers has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clemson University and a Master's in Business Administration from Duke University. He holds patents in industrial and process instrumentation.
